Fairy tail street in Funchal

Walking on the old streets of Funchal (the capital city of Madeira Island), I discovered a small narrow street (Rua de Santa Maria), with painted doors and walls. A fairy tale street!
I understand that the idea of the City Hall was to revitalize the area by organizing a street art project. Almost 200 doors on this area (from houses, restaurants, shops etc) were painted by some young artists. The old street, is full of bars and restaurants so if you decide to stay for a drink/meal, you can have the chance to stay just in front of a painted door and to enjoy the story. I only pictured some of the doors, since I arrived late on the street and it was already late in the day and a lot of people on the street trying to find a place to eat / drink. Next day I was gone.. so I only have to come back next year and to hope that I can still find the painted doors there..
